2023 Property Taxes

2023 property taxes have increased. The 2nd installment includes the Homeowners Homestead Exemption filed by the April 29, 2024 deadline. The Cook County Treasurer’s office allows for partial payments plus interest on the outstanding balance due over a 12-mont period. We will pay the balance off within the next three months to that it doesn’t carry over into fiscal year 2025 and so that the interest charges are kept at a minimum. Therefore, each tenant-shareholder’s pro-rata share, as outlined in the Bylaws, of the outstanding 2023 property taxes must be paid-in-full on or before November 30, 2024.

The Treasurer will invoice each tenant-shareholder for their pro-rata share due and make monthly periodic payments to the Cook County Treasurer’s office. The payments must be

Have a noted memo: 2023 property tax assessment
Mailed to: PO BOX 53315, McGee Station, Chicago, IL 60653-0315

The Board Treasurer will issue the credit to the assessment statement accounts of each identified shareholder who applied for other tax exemptions (e.g., senior, senior freeze, military, disabled, etc.)

Tenant-Shareholders have received an email with detailed information about the 2023 Property Taxes.
